The voting for theLG Unsigned national band search top three finalists, Enola Fall, Aeons and The Cracks, officially went live this week.

The three finalists descended on Bondi Beach to battle it out in front of the LG Unsigned judging panel in the hopes of securing a slot at the LG Live at the 2010 Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix.

www.connectedaustralia.com spoke with LG corporate marketing manager, Mark Nesci about what the company hopes to achieve from the promotion and how it has gone so far.

Nesci said the promotion is about engaging our consumers and reinforcing our global partnership with the Formula 1.

“We wanted to create these promotions to provide an opportunity for people to experience those Life’s Good moments,” Nesci said.

“LG continually invests in sponsorship opportunities which give Australians the opportunity to get involved in something they love. We are excited to see how the rest of this promotion goes and given the success to-date, we will definitely consider other opportunities to help share those Life’s Good moments,” he added.

Nesci said, that while this is the first year the company has run the LG Unsigned competition, they are extremely happy with how the promotion has gone so far.

“We received over 220 entries from around Australia, highlighting the depth of quality unsigned talent that can be found here,” Nesci said.

“LG has been really impressed by the standard of entries the competition has received. The judges spent days trawling through the entries, trying to make the difficult decision of choosing our top three finalists from our wide range of entrants,” he added.

According to Nesci, LG has received over 220 entries in the first stage of the competition.

“Public voting has only just opened, so we are now calling on Australians to vote for the three finalists online,” he said.

The voting period is open from September 6-16, and by voting, consumers are entered in the draw to win a trip for two to the Singapore SingTel Grand Prix, an LG prize pack, and $1000 spending money.
