Flagship of Panasonic’s Lumix G series bags award By Danielle Cesta

Panasonic’s Lumix DMC-GH1 has been awarded the prestigious European Multimedia Camera 2009-2010 from the European Imaging and Sound Association(EISA).

The Lumix GH1 is the latest addition to the company’s LUMIX G Micro System range.
According to the EISA jury, the camera perfectly combines the advantages of a compact camera with those of a DSLR: it is lightweight, has a small body, a high-resolution electronic viewfinder and Live View.

“In addition, the DMC-GH1 operates quickly, produces excellent image quality and the lenses are interchangeable. The camera also has a very versatile vari-angle display screen and allows video recording in full HD. Image quality in both still and moving images is stunning. The GH1 is the first system-camera that provides continuous auto-focusing in a movie mode.”

‘Ground-breaking’ product
Panasonic Australia category marketing manager mobile AV, Alistair Robins said: “This ground-breaking product is the flagship of the LUMIX G Series, delivering outstanding video and stills and giving the user amazing creativity and versatility while incorporating all the attributes of this standard – with a downsized body, combining advanced functions with easy operation.”

The EISA Awards will be officially presented during an official ceremony on September 4 2009, at the Adlon Kempinski Hotel in Berlin.
