Samsung has been spruiking the wonders of 3D TV in a fresh and innovative way, attempting to show wary adopters the wide-ranging benefits of the technology. The electronics giant held the first ever viewing of the Oscar's red carpet arrivals live in 3D, allowing the invitation only guests to critique celebrity fashion in a whole new way.
 
The event was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverley Hills on Sunday, and allowed guests access to a special closed circuit 3D feed from KABC-TV's live red carpet show. Samsung hooked the exclusive feed up to play on their award-winning 3D LED TV's. The event was a first for the awards and electronics industry.

Samsung recognises that strong content remains critical to the adoption of 3D technologies and this represents a taste of the new dimension of home entertainment that we’ll soon deliver," Samsung Australia's head of marketing and consumer electrics Mark Leathan said.
 
The Samsung 3D experience will available to Australian consumers in its entirity in the first half of 2010.
