Panasonic has demonstrated its strong commitment to humanitarian efforts by giving an additional donation of aid to the devastated earthquake victims of Chile.

The Japanese electronics giant has shown they haven't forgotten the victims of the February 27 disaster by donating an additional 7 million yen worth of relief supplies to the local charity TV program Teleton. The donation of supplies included items such as batteries and torches, intended to both help the victims and support the recovery of the area.

The company and its employees have expressed their deep condolences for the earthquake victims and their hope that the people and country make a swift recovery.

Panasonic made an initial contribution of 5 million yen on March 3. This most recent donation brings the company's total donation amount to 12 million yen. The company also made sizeable donations to the Haiti earthquake relief efforts in January.
