Tweeter store closing sale
The Tweeter website advertised this store closing sale.
US home entertainment chain Tweeter has fired its corporate staff, over 600 employees at 70 stores across the US and shuttered all its stores before the company’s plan to close its shops on Sunday December 7.

Tweeter filed for Chapter 11 protection for the second time last month.

The Boston Globe has reported that the fired employees are still owed at least one week’s pay, holiday time, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in bonuses that were promised as part of the liquidation sale, said Tweeter managers and executives, who declined to be named.

Customers are unable to pick up merchandise they have bought and the liquidators handling the closing sales are yet to be paid. There is reportedly about US$14 million worth of goods left in the locked stores.
