Greater choice in colour from Breville poised to add Mother's Day sales.
Gift with purchase promotions will feature strongly in Breville's Mother's Day marketing campaign to drive consumers into stores and give them an added motivation to purchase the company's products. 'My Table', a book written by chef Peter Evans and retailing for $45, will be provided as a gift with purchase for participating items from the Breville Professional 800 series and ikon series. Included in this promotion are items such as the SmartOvenTM BOV800, WizzTM Planetary Mixer BEM800 and the Smart GrillTM BGR820.
This book give-away will also be supported by a 30-second advertisement for the BSC560 Slow Cooker airing on national free-to-air TV during April.
Consumers who purchase the Fresca Espresso Machine BES860 will receive a bonus one kilogram pack of Vittoria Oro Coffee Beans valued at $33.95. This promotion is also designed to highlight the product's integrated conical burr grinder and the importance of using freshly ground beans to maximise flavour. "The beans can be delivered directly to store with ordered product, giving consumers an instant reward with their purchase," said David Gubbin, Breville brand director Australasia.
In other gift with purchase promotions, anyone buying a Breville Wok or Frypan will receive three Ayam Asian sauces in a Breville chiller bag while those who acquire any Breville slow cooker product for Mother's Day will receive three Masterfoods Slow Cooker recipe bases.
A cash back incentive from Nilfisk-Advance
A $70 cash back will be offered by Nilfisk-Advance for its Extreme, Power, Combat, Action, Coupe and Handy 2 in 1 models to build sales for the Mother's Day period. "The promotion covers a range of price points, to reward consumers on any budget," said Kim Hiland, the company's national retail sales and marketing manager.
She also highlighted how social media was becoming an increasingly important part of its communication with consumers. "We are taking the time to listen to what the market wants," she said. " Our social media presence will build throughout the year."
Sharp gift motivator to purchase
A gift with purchase and a chance to win an exciting cooking holiday at an exotic destination are among the promotional initiatives described as a 'call to action campaign' by Sharp Corporation of Australia (SCA).
Available on selected models only, the gift with purchase is valid via redemption on certain microwave ovens and include a cookbook valued at $39.95, a Revlon hair straightener at $49.95 and a Thailand cooking holiday for two.
" SCA will further enhance our online interaction between our own product development officer and our Sharp MWO social network," said Denis Kerr, deputy managing director.
Public relations support for Kambrook
New products from Kambrook will be supported by a comprehensive public relations campaign to generate additional sales for the Mother's Day period. " Kambrook's ranges are becoming more extensive, while our products remain affordable and continue to offer quality , high performance and an array of features," said marketing manager Adam Tacey.
He noted that the product range was put through rigorous testing to ensure their performance and durability. Additional features recently introduced include an auto-off function for the Steamline iron and Snugasabug Heated Throw to provide consumers with additional safety
Meanwhile, steps are currently underway to put together an ongoing social media strategy.
Morphy Richards promotes 'Everyday Excellence'
Morphy Richards has confirmed it will increase its promotional and marketing activity throughout 2010 after a successful 2009. Anita Brodian, marketing coordinator, said the first product releases for the year were a small sample of the substantial new offering planned for 2010.
"All products moving forward will be supported by our marketing slogan and what we have built the brand on 'Everyday Excellence'," Brodian said. While she acknowledged many brands made similar claims, she also noted that the company had developed a new high tech state-of-the-art facility recently opened just outside Sheffield UK. "This $20 million product excellence and engineering facility (DEPTH) ensures we will stay ahead of the competitors in innovation, engineering and quality assurance moving forward," she said.
An extra reason to buy Remington
Remington will give consumers an extra reason to buy its selection of personal care products by offering a strong consumer promotion to build interest for Mother's Day and Easter. A $50,000 prize for one winner only will be offered. To be in the draw, consumers must purchase any Remington product. The promotion will run from 1 March to 9 May and will be supported in stores with a strong merchandising program including strutted cards, posters, shelf talkers and tear-off pads.
"Remington is investing heavily in in-store display materials to ensure a successful sell through for retailers," the company said. "Multiple materials will be available to dress the shelves, both in the permanent display areas as well as for end cap/window displays."
Dine with a Masterchef by Sunbeam
Sunbeam is launching a 'Dine with a Masterchef' promotion to celebrate its partnership with the high rating TV show. Some five lucky Sunbeam consumers will have the opportunity to win a two-night trip to Sydney with three friends to dine at the award winning Becasse restaurant. They will be treated to an eight-course degustation dinner hosted by executive chef Justin North.
A range of point-of-sale material has been developed to support the competition and retailers are being encouraged to merchandise using these 'eye-catching' posters and flyers as the company expects the promotion to drive purchases.
