Nilfisk’s Spring promotion coming up

With a trusted brand name, new product offerings and variety of models to suit different lifestyles and budgets, Nilfisk anticipates steady sales in 2011. Like the majority of Australian appliance manufacturers, the company expects the second half of the year to be a challenging one.

To promote and strengthen consumer spending in the second half of 2011, Nilfisk will actively keep up the motivation and training for retanilfiskadvancelogo.jpgilers to maintain their support throughout the year.

In light of the current economic climate and increased demand for more redemption and voucher style promotions, Nilfisk will be running a Spring Promotion in September 2011. As part of the promotion, consumers who purchase a Power Allergy or Extreme model from September 1 to September 31 2011 will receive a free Home Remedies book valued at $70.

Overall, the key drivers that set Nilfisk vacuums apart from the competition are its long five year warranty period combined with high performance, features and quality at competitive prices.

Bosch prepares to launch Roxx’x Bagless Vacuum Range

boschBagless vacuum cleaners have a bad reputation for being messy and difficult to empty and clean. This is no longer an issue with the Roxx’x range, which sees the first fully-automatic activation of Bosch Self Clean System.

Less valuable spare time will be spent cleaning thanks to the unique Sensor Control function, which constantly monitors the performance level of the vacuum. If performance drops by just 10% below the optimum level the vacuum will automatically stop, self-clean and reactivate to continue vacuuming at maximum capacity. All models have a 3L capacity and come with two on-board tools for upholstery and crevices along with 9m automatic cable rewind.

The Roxx’x range is available this September in four models; the All-Rounder for an RRP of $499, the ProSilence for an RRP of $699, the ProPet for an RRP of $799 and the Home Professional for an RRP of $999.

Dyson’s challenging products

dyson.jpg“With over 750 engineers, researchers and scientists working in the Dyson Research Design and Development centre there are always exciting technologies on the doorstep. However we don’t talk about them until they launch,” Dyson PR & communications manager, Erica Galea explained.

Unfortunately, there have not been a lot of new design trends, but rather an increasing trend to mimicry. Dyson continues to see, and challenge, models that look like old Dyson products and in some instances make claims that cannot be backed up.

It’s one of the reasons Dyson continue to innovate and invest in new technology that can be patented. By the time competitors are able to copy some of the basic design features of an old model, the technology has been superseded times over.

“Our current range of Dyson vacuum cleaner has 564 patents to protect them. Which ultimately means a Dyson can’t be copied. If people want a Dyson they should buy a Dyson,” said Galea.

“It’s not category specific, it happens all the time, but it still doesn’t make it right”, she said.
