Toshiba is running a Christmas consumer promotion for DVD players to help combat boredom over the summer holidays.

Consumers that purchase any Toshiba DVD player will be gifted with one month of free rental of any movies via the Bigpond movies rental service. This offer is valid well into the New Year, expiring on March 31, 2009.

Toshiba is also offering a free 12-month replacement warranty on all Toshiba DVD player purchases and a two year warranty on the Toshiba XD-E500 DVD Upscaler.
